Electric motors of A4 series (with protection class IP 23)

Asynchronous electric motors of A4 series with square cage rotor are designed for driving mechanisms that do not need a speed control, also for driving pumps, fans, blowers, smoke exhausters and other mechanisms with similar characteristics at start-up, including driving the mechanisms which are used for the needs of thermal power stations.

A4 series of electric motors are designed with the height of axis of rotation 400, 450, 500 mm.

The motors are designed to work from the alternative current system with frequency 50 Hz and voltage 3 000V, 6 000V, 10 000V.

The motors with voltage of 3 000V are manufactured in the dimensions of the motors with voltage of 6 000V with a height of the axis of rotation 400, 450 mm, and motors with a voltage of 10 000V are manufactured in a size with a height of the axis of rotation of 500 mm. The type of climatic design of the motors with voltage of 3 000V, 6 000V is У3, T3, and with voltage of 10 000V – У3.

The stator current of motors with voltage of 3 000V is twice more than of 6 000V motors.
Typical operation is continuous S1.

Structural design is IM1001.
The degree of motor protection is IP23, of the terminal box is IP55.
Method of cooling the motors is ICA01.

The motors have roller bearings with grease lubricant. Electric motors can be completed with SKF, CNR, FAG bearings or any others due to customer’s agreement.

The motors are connected to the drive mechanism by means of elastic couplings. The insulation materials of the stator winding have heat resistance class not lower than “B”. The insulation of the stator winding is thermoreactive of type “Monolith-2”.

The stator winding has six lead-out ends fixed to four insulators in the terminal box. The winding phase connection is a star.
The motors could have right and left rotation directions. The direction of rotation is changed only from the idle state.
